[News] EX Kansei Case study has been published on Nikkei Cross Trend

Case study by a major consumer goods manufacturer was published on Nikkei Cross Design (WEB) operated by Nikkei BP.

Opening quote from the published article below

Explainable KANSEI is a design analysis cloud service that visualizes human sensibilities by combining the image processing technology and kansei brain engineering that Konica Minolta has cultivated since its founding.

The impetus for Konica Minolta to incorporate brain science was its participation in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Revolutionary Innovation Creation Program (COI STREAM) in 2019, which uses brain science to research the visualization of sensibilities. Through research through industry-academia collaboration with Hiroshima University, which was the core center of the program, they were able to gain knowledge about perception and brain mechanisms.

The most important feature of EX Kansei is that it evaluates designs based on the principles of Kansei brain engineering. It can also show improvement methods based on the principles. That is the biggest point that differentiates EX Kansei from other design evaluation and creation services that utilize AI (Artificial Intelligence)" (Mr. Mr. Shoichi Uratani, Gr. GL, Selling Science, PR Marketing Department, PPH Marketing Division, Professional Print Division, Konica Minolta, and Visiting Professor, Hiroshima University)
