Management of a high-class yakiniku restaurant using Tajima beef from Hyogo Prefecture

Customer challenges

As a high-end yakiniku restaurant that sells high-quality meat "Tajima beef" from Kobe, the restaurant promoted its high-quality meat, but the rate of new reservations from its website was slow to increase, which became an issue.

Results obtained

The number of reservations made via the web increased by 172% by improving the overall menu design and the pages of the online gourmet site to create a luxurious feel that promotes Tajima Beef.

 

Background of introduction

Niku Kozou Group operates the Yakiniku restaurant “Ushikozo” that uses the popular high-quality beef “Tajima Beef”. Although the store received high evaluations from visitors, reservations and word-of-mouth evaluations on the website were slowing down, so we requested some improvements in terms of visuals and introduced EX Kansei.

Improvement flow

1. Existing menu impression analysis

When the existing menu (Before draft) was subjected to "impression analysis",

"Common people's style: 75%", "Casual: 61%"

It turned out that the image of Tajima beef was different from that of high-quality beef.

My eyes were drawn to the pattern on the plate, making it difficult to concentrate on the meat I wanted to appeal to.

2. Improved for a more luxurious design

For the entire menu design, we selected a color scheme that gives a sense of luxury from the impression database.

To achieve this goal, we re-shot the entire menu to create a design that enhances the sense of luxury and makes it easier to focus on the meat.

When we analyzed the impressions of the after plan, we found that it was as expected: 65% stately, 79% solemn, and 91% classical.

We have confirmed that improvements have been made to give an impression appropriate to the image of Tajima beef.

3. Confirm results

After-plans that have been confirmed to have improved the desired image are posted on online gourmet sites.
Since before the change, the number of reservations made via the web has increased sharply by 172%.
Furthermore, the user evaluation score improved by 0.4 points.
