In-car advertising on trams in Hiroshima, while expressing the region's unique retro feel.

Results obtained

By changing the design to a design that improves the overall impression and attention, it increases conspicuousness and contributes to expanding recognition. We won the first place in the retort curry ranking in the local newspaper.

Background of introduction

Rainbow Foods Co., Ltd. sells many products nationwide as a brand from Hiroshima, using products such as ``Hiroshima specialty oysters'' and ``Setouchi fruits'' grown in the rich nature of the local Setouchi and Hiroshima areas.

This time, we used Explainable KANSEI in the process of considering how to create a design that would maximize the effectiveness of an advertisement hanging on a tram in Hiroshima while expressing the region's unique retro feel. I did.

 

Improvement flow

1. Existing design analysis and improvement proposal presentation

When we analyzed the "conspicuousness" of the existing plan (Before plan), we found that the entire package and the letters were not conspicuous.

Six design improvement ideas were presented and selected.

2. Evaluation of improvement plan (after plan)

When we compared and analyzed the After plan with improved conspicuousness with the Before plan, we found that the "conspicuousness" of the package increased by 176%.

3. Further improvement in conspicuousness

After narrowing down the options, we proposed varnishing to further improve conspicuousness.

In an experiment to compare the conspicuousness of advertisements hanging in cars, it was found that the conspicuousness of ads with varnish was more than twice as high as that without varnish, and the varnished version was adopted as the final plan.

4. Impression analysis

We also performed a color analysis of the final design and evaluated its retro-modern feel. By using intermediate colors and widening the color distribution,

"traditional"
"Authentic"
It was also confirmed that the impression has been improved to be closer to the desired image.

5. Ranked 1st in local newspaper

After implementing the varnished design, we were ranked number one in local retort curry rankings in local media newspapers, greatly contributing to increased recognition.
