Customer challenges

Although the Enshu Morimachi Parking Area on the Shin-Tomei Expressway was a parking area that was visited by many customers, an issue was raised that the number of people entering the store from some entrances was sluggish.

Results obtained

By analyzing the image of the improvement measures using EX Kansei, we were able to confirm the effects in advance through simulation. In addition, by presenting the analysis results, it was easier to gain the understanding and consent of all concerned parties, and the implementation of measures was carried out smoothly and with a sense of speed.

Analysis flow

1. Analysis/hypothesis

Analyzing the aisle in front of the entrance, where the number of people entering the store is sluggish, using EX sensitivity.

The current problem is that the giant balloon on the right side of the convenience store has such a strong impact that people are not paying attention to the area on the left side where the entrance is.

2. Consideration of measures

Based on the issues that emerged, we decided to place an easel on the left side of the aisle to promote the store's entrance.

To visualize what it would look like when installed, an easel image was combined with the actual passage image.

3. simulation

Attention analysis of easel composite images using EX sensibility. Before the installation, we were able to confirm through simulations that installing an easel would draw the eye much further to the left compared to the current situation.
In addition, by presenting the results of this analysis, it was easier to gain the understanding and consent of those involved, and the implementation of measures was carried out smoothly and with a sense of speed.
